My experiences as a motorcycle travel enthusiast are some of the most colorful and therapeutic experiences of my life that I will never forget.
I used to love bikes since I was a kid. Bicycles first, then motorbikes. The sound, the control, the cruising, everything was appeasing.
Some folks don't realize why bike lovers generally love to ride alone or go on tours. It is because while you ride alone, you have time and patience to think long and hard about what problems you are facing and how to solve them. It gives me a sense of control, and researchers and psychologists have recently delved deeper into motorcycle riding than just an adrenaline rush. They learned that motorcycle riders view riding as a therapeutic activity that enables them to unwind.
The results of the motorcycle-specific study* revealed some important conclusions, including the fact that cycling reduced hormonal biomarkers of stress by 28% and that, on average, riding a motorcycle for 20 minutes raised participants' heart rates by 11% and their adrenaline levels by 27%, which is comparable to light exercise. When compared to driving a car, riding a motorcycle improved sensory focus. This effect was also seen when comparing experienced meditators to non-meditators. While riding, changes in study participants' brain activity suggested an increase in alertness comparable to sipping coffee. Believe me guys, Motorcycle therapy is real, and is a thing that is happening across the world.
There are many stories that people share, about them going on biking tours and trips with their colleagues, club members, or friends had a very positive effect on their lives. Some bikers feel that it is a comfort zone or some kind of safe space. It's probably why most men love fooling around with friends on bikes. It's a stress buster.
I fought many demons on a bike ride.
Once my folks were angry with me about something. I scored less on a test, and you know typical college faculty who put so much pressure on your parents by saying scoring is more important than anything else in life, and our parents believe every word they say and sit there in silence. One of my teachers went forward and started blaming me for everything to the point I thought I was fit for nothing.
I stormed out of my house and got onto my bike, and just drove around for an hour.
During the ride, the cold breeze helped me get rid of the tension and cooled me down. I thought calmly for a while and realized what I had to do to get back on track, and how to explain it to my parents.
It is crazy how being super alert while driving and thinking about the problems at hand at the same time gets you solutions instantly.
This is gonna sound saintly, but I mean what I'm saying, guys! Try it yourself if you don't believe me, and I am pretty sure that the ones who ride bikes, know what I'm talking about.
